A sales and lettings business has invested in new employees to help meet increased demand for its services.
Belvoir Stoke-on-Trent, Bidduph and Leek has added two staff members in the last few weeks as part of a continual investment in the team.
Sally McNicholas and Amie Carter joined Belvoir in September, taking staff numbers to seven.
When franchise owner Ramona Hirschi bought the business in 2017 there were two people working there.
Ramona said: “We’re busier than ever on both the sales and lettings side of the business despite the tough trading conditions.
“Increased overheads in the UK have been well documented and these eat into profit margins in all businesses, but it is crucial service standards remain high and we’re therefore continuing to invest in our team.”
Ramona said current market conditions meant homes are taking longer on average to sell, adding it is important to maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the process.
“Amie has been brought in as a sales administrator and progressor to ensure we work well with customers and move sales to completion,” explained Ramona.
“Sally has joined Belvoir as a Lettings Assistant as we are increasing our number of fully managed properties month on month. Sally will ensure we are up to date with visiting all our properties twice a year and reporting back to our client landlords.”
“While sales typically take much longer to complete during difficult economic times, the opposite tends to be true for lettings, and the rental market is busier than ever with an average of 40 enquiries per property advertised.”
Since taking on the business six years ago, property and legal expert Ramona has overseen sustained growth and a major staff development programme. The business has offices in Albion Street, Hanley.
