A Staffordshire edtech firm is to run a free webinar giving schools practical advice on how to reduce their carbon footprint.

Satori Education, based in Stoke-on-Trent, is set to hold the online session entitled “How should schools tackle climate change?”

Led by an expert, the webinar on 8 November from 4pm to 4.30pm will be accessible to educators from throughout the UK.

Experienced carbon literacy trainer John Sutton will focus on the role of the education sector – including schools and multi-academy trusts – in helping the country to meet its net zero targets by 2050.

The webinar will offer practical and potentially money-saving tips on how to get on track to achieve carbon reduction targets.

Joe Basketts, CEO of Satori Education.

Joe Basketts, founder and CEO of Satori Education, said: “Faced with the unique challenges of the education sector, coupled with those that stem from the individual educational settings themselves, the question: ‘How should schools tackle climate change?’ is a common one and of growing concern.

“This webinar will help educators to move forward by answering FAQs such as ‘Is it all about the curriculum or are there practical steps that schools should take to reduce their carbon footprint now?’ ‘What does the government expect schools to do?’ and ‘How can we act when our budget is already stretched to the maximum?’”

Schools and multi-academy trusts can register to secure their place on the free webinar at https://satori.education/events/how-should-schools-tackle-climate-change/

*Satori Education runs the UK’s only carbon literacy course that is specifically designed for schools and multi-academy trust leaders.
