Bratwursts and Spanish-style churros are just some of the mouthwatering delicacies on sale this week as a popular Continental Market returns to Stoke-on-Trent’s city centre.
Shoppers and visitors to Hanley will be treated to an array of continental cuisine including German, Polish, and Greek alongside many more foods from global menus, such as Chinese and Thai.
There will also be a wide range of crafts, clothing and jewellery, on sale from traders from all over the world.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council has made the decision to bring back the market after it has been successful staged in the city centre for a number of years.
The market event will be supported by RR Events and stalls will be mainly located on Parliament Row and Upper Market Square. They will join regular outdoor traders, who operate from Fountain Square, from Thursday 9 November to Sunday 12 November between 10am – 6pm.
Councillor Amjid Wazir, cabinet member for environment and enforcement said: “It’s great to have the Continental Market back in Stoke-on-Trent.
“Each year, traders bring a fantastic sense of culture, delicious food, and beautifully crafted items.
“We have a great city centre with some wonderful local businesses and market traders. Events like this attract more people to the area and increase footfall in these businesses.”
