A Newcastle-under-Lyme-based hearing centre is set to move into a state-of-the-art new home in early January following a £225,000 investment.
Specsavers Hearing Centre is moving from its home of more than six years in the York Place Precinct, to the former Santander bank on the High Street, which is currently undergoing a major renovation.
The single-storey layout of the store will offer improved customer access, increased capacity with four clinic rooms and will feature the latest diagnostic equipment to provide essential NHS and private hearing services.
The planned opening has created three new job opportunities for the town, including two hearing aid audiologists and a trainee audiology practitioner.
Along with the existing two hearing advisors they are set to complete training over the coming months to provide more audiology and wax removal services.
Specsavers Newcastle-under-Lyme Hearing Centre Director Sam Dowd said: “We are all so excited about our new premises, we can now expand our offering and give an even better service to our loyal customers. With more space available and everything on one floor, we are confident that our customers will reap the benefits.
“As a business, we are making it our mission to open the conversation about hearing health and hearing loss. We have state-of-the-art testing facilities and offer both private and NHS services.
“Our colleagues are trained to not only conduct hearing tests but also to provide people with the information they need to take care of their overall hearing health.”
