Businesses in Tamworth can pick up free advice and support at a breakfast event taking place next month.

Tamworth Borough Council is inviting established, new and early-stage businesses to its first business support breakfast event for 2024.

The ‘marketplace’ event will be host to a variety of experts offering free business advice and information about grants from partners including South Staffordshire College offering details on skills support and apprenticeships; Chambers of Commerce detailing their offer of start up support and established business networking, plus many more business providers.

It takes place at Tamworth Assembly Rooms between 8am and 10am on Wednesday, 7 February.

There will also be the chance to join the free Get Started and Grow and Ignite – Tamworth Start-up Support programmes.

Councillor Thomas Jay, Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: “We are excited to welcome small local businesses to our first breakfast event, offering support to help local businesses develop, grow and expand.

“We know many businesses, shops and restaurants are working under very different conditions with the cost-of-living crisis and inflation. Therefore, we really want to reach out and offer additional free business support.

“By working closely with business partners, we can offer free advice and put businesses in touch with expertise that can help market their USP, build their brand recognition, upgrade their digital support and drive their business growth.”

The event is being supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, a government incentive that supports eligible businesses.

Places for the event can be booked online here, or people can drop in on the day.
