An award-winning farm attraction has diversified into hosting business events.

PLAY@ Lower Drayton Farm is owned by Ray Bower, his partner Val and son Richard, who have worked hard to diversify the Penkridge family farm over the years and have decided to offer their huge indoor play barn as corporate space when it is closed three days a week during school term time.

They hosted their first business conference last month with the editorial team from the Farmer’s Guardian enjoying a tour of the 750-acre beef and arable farm following a boardroom-style presentation.

Richard said: “We’ve got a fantastic space here at the farm in a really convenient location transport-wise, so are in a great position to offer businesses looking for a venue a bit out of the ordinary a truly unique backdrop for their meetings or conferences.”

Farmers Guardian Editor Olivia Midgley said: “Planning content and shaping our editorial strategy for the year is a key point in Farmers Guardian’s calendar and with one of our key themes being around diversification, what better place to visit than a truly diversified enterprise such as Lower Drayton Farm.”

Daily Focus reported in December that the farm park attraction had invested £250,000 into a new Christmas experience by transforming a former grain store into a magical Christmas town. The area will now be used for other events throughout the year. Read more here

  1. It’s a shame the adults can’t go on the soft play as part of the conference/ board meeting day; that would be brilliant. Could also build it into team days possibly…….
