Businesses are being offered the chance to make their voices heard at the highest levels of UK policy-making.
By completing the latest Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) conducted by Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce they can influence Government departments and the Bank of England.
The survey has been conducted since 1989, with the data being collated by the British Chambers nationwide and assessed each quarter by the Bank.
As the flagship research project of the Chamber Network, the survey offers an unparalleled insight into to the state of UK business and the health of the UK economy.
“This is always important, but especially so in the current period of economic turmoil and with a General Election coming this year,” said Declan Riddell, Policy Adviser and Stafford Chamber Manager.
“The likes of the Bank of England have recognised the valuable role played by the QES, in providing a useful barometer of business performance and outlook.”
Questions in the three-monthly survey – the UK’s largest independent business questionnaire – aim to identify the key challenges being faced by businesses.
Survey responses help build up a snapshot of what is happening in the local economy.
The QES highlights trends in areas such as the impact of the rising cost of doing business, supply chain issues and recruitment difficulties.
