Business across North Staffordshire are being asked to support a campaign that aims to bring hope and opportunities to vulnerable families and young people.
The Gingerbread Centre in Stoke-on-Trent has launched the #fromCrisistoConfidence initiative, which will continue to empower families without a home to rebuild their lives.
A dedicated webpage has been set up outlining how businesses can get involved with the campaign through fundraising, events and volunteering.
The Gingerbread Centre also has a corporate fundraising pack, which sets out how businesses can support the charity through Charity of the Year partnerships, employee or group-wide fundraising drives, company donations, sponsorship or payroll giving.
With 33 accommodation units and 24-hour on-site support for families, the charity offers a crucial lifeline to help people get their lives back on track.
As well as offering accommodation, its work includes on-site activities, as well as collaboration with other agencies to create a bespoke package of support on topics including budgeting, health, training and resettlement.
Trevor Cottam, Chief Executive of The Gingerbread Centre, said: “All of our work is about supporting vulnerable families and young people as they navigate a crisis that has left them without a home.
“As well as providing supported accommodation, The Gingerbread Centre offers an activity club for children, organises excursions for families and is a safe, welcoming space where families can rebuild their lives.
“Gingerbread are committed to addressing the root causes of homelessness and offer a range of support services to empower families towards stability and independence.
“Our staff and volunteers transform lives through compassion and now we’re asking businesses to help vulnerable families and young people pull themselves out of crisis and look to the future with confidence.”
