Aston Marina hands over Easter egg hunt proceeds to The Peter Pan Centre

Stone waterside eatery Aston Marina has donated over £800 to a charity which supports children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The sum raised for The Peter Pan Centre, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, was raised over the Easter weekend through the venue’s annual Easter egg hunt.

Youngsters were challenged to find clues hidden around the marina’s grounds to win a chocolate egg, whilst families could also book a boat ride around the marina.
Marina Director Helen Clayton said: “We are delighted to have raised £888.61 this year through our charity Easter egg hunt, which will go directly to The Peter Pan Centre to support the amazing work it does in our community and beyond.

“We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all the families who turned out despite the somewhat unseasonal weather to take part and help raise funds for this very worthy cause. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!”

The Peter Pan Centre, which was founded in 1969 as a playgroup for children with disabilities, provides weekly bespoke education, care and development sessions as well as stay and play groups for under-fives.

Aston Marina is home to the award-winning No.26 restaurant and is a popular wedding and events venue.

Earlier this year, plans were revealed to build a 35-bedroom boutique hotel on its site.
