B2B specialist Lesniak Swann has boosted its workforce by employing seven new members of staff since the start of the year – despite ongoing challenging conditions in the marketing agency sector.
The expansion to a 22-strong team follows a move to larger office space at the historic former Spode site in Stoke-on-Trent last year.
In addition, the agency says it has experienced a rapid expansion of its client portfolio.
Recent wins include becoming group level agency of record for Etex Group’s Promat brand, beginning work with façade systems experts Alsecco, part of the EUR1.3bn DAW group, and taking an expanded brief from building products manufacturer Genuit.
These successes have meant that the agency has grown net revenue by 30% over the last year and doubled in size compared with its 2021 billings.
Managing Director Alex Swann said: “It’s a tough time for agencies at the moment, but our approach to offering a specialised service to industrial clients in sectors like construction, engineering and hi-tech manufacturing is paying dividends.
“We practice what we preach in terms of actively marketing ourselves in the same way we advise our clients – something that not many agencies do well.
“But the underlying reason for our growth in recent years has been the talented people we’ve brought on board.
“Initiatives such as the annual summer internship with VCCP and i-creation have been a great way of helping to show young people in and around Stoke just what they could achieve in the agency sector.”
Charli Jacobs, one of the new hires in Lesniak Swann’s PR team, said: “As part of the growing creative community in Stoke, working for Lesniak Swann has given me a unique opportunity to shift career direction without a long commute.
Its growth ambitions are one of the main reasons I wanted to work here – the challenges involved in being part of a rapidly growing business makes my job exciting and continuously varied.”
