Accountancy group DJH has been crowned the number 1 in England for the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers 2024.

After ranking at number 14 in the 2023 nationwide list, the Stoke-on-Trent headquartered company has made significant improvements to their apprenticeship programme, earning the top spot for the latest 12-month period.

The result is based onthe impressive number of studiers who have started an apprenticeship at DJH in the last 12 months and the diversity of the apprentices who are recruited from a wide range of backgrounds.

It also takes into account the variety of apprenticeships across the business from accounts and audit to marketing and IT, and the number of studiers who have successfully achieved an apprenticeship qualification in the last 12 months.

Chris Rawlinson, DJH’s Head of Learning and Development, who works closely with all studiers commented, “We are proud to support over 100 apprentices and studiers across the group. This ranking is a testament to our commitment to their development and our ongoing investment in their future.

“We ensure that our apprentices not only gain the necessary technical skills but also develop vital soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.”

Chris continued, “By fostering a culture of inclusivity and encouragement, we help our apprentices to reach their full potential and build successful careers within the industry. Being ranked number 1 is a demonstration to the support we offer and highlights the exceptional outcomes our apprentices achieve.”

The result comes off the back of 12 months of continued growth for DJH which has offices across the Midlands, North-West and Yorkshire. It includes a series of acquisitions, including DTE Business Advisers in Bury, and Derby based accountancy and IT firm, Ashgates.
