It’s time to put on your Big Girl Pants and have a ball for charity

1 min read

Big Girl Pants is back for 2024. It follows the success of last year’s campaign, which raised £24,010 in total, including £13,000 from the charity ball alone.

Now, organisers Strategi Solutions are calling on the business community once again to support this vital cause and help make an even greater impact in 2024.

Last year’s came about after three close relatives of the Strategi team received a breast cancer diagnosis between October 2022 and February 2023, all of whom were treated at UHNM Breast Care Centres.

They include Sue Fisher, wife of Managing Director Rob, who after receiving her breast cancer diagnosis responded by saying she needed to “put her big girl pants on…”.

The fundraising efforts, as well as the October ball contributed to raising over £24,000 for the NHS University Hospitals of the North Midlands (UHNM) Charity Breast Care Centre in Stoke and Stafford.

This year’s charity ball is scheduled for Friday 4 October at The DoubleTree by Hilton at Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent. The event will feature a 3-course dinner and entertainment from The Manytones.

There will be a lively auction with fantastic items up for grabs and a prize raffle. It’s a night designed not only to entertain but also to inspire and empower.

Both table sales and individual tickets are available to accommodate all supporters. Tables of 10 are available for £950, while individual tickets can be purchased for £95 each.

People and businesses unable to attend the ball can still help out – the Big Girl Pants team are also seeking donations for the auction and raffle prizes.
