A new community platform, The Knot Life, is to bring straightforward, positive local news to Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, spotlighting the region’s culture, community, and events.
Launched by local entrepreneur Jenna Goodwin in partnership with James Routledge and The Knot News, this community-driven hub promises to be more than a website. It’s a free resource, and a virtual town square where residents and visitors can discover the area’s vibrant culture, heritage, and businesses.
Aimed to strengthen local ties, by bringing people together in fresh and engaging ways, The Knot Life hopes to inspire a deeper connection to the place many call home.
A curated guide to the city’s best-kept secrets, from historic spots and family activities to business directories and exclusive offers. Designed for locals and tourists, it invites everyone to explore, share, and celebrate the Stoke-on-Trent they know and love.
The Knot Life is launching in phases to adapt to Stoke-on-Trent’s unique community needs. The first phase will spotlight the area’s cultural heritage, while the second focuses on dining and nightlife, guiding locals to the best eateries and social spots. Phase three will feature a directory supporting local businesses, encouraging residents to shop local. In phase four, essential services will link residents with trusted professionals.
The platform has the aim of becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC), reinvesting revenue into local projects, grants, and social programs.
Jenna Goodwin said: “The Knot Life is here as a force for good, providing the people of Stoke-on-Trent with trustworthy journalism. Every premium listing and partnership with The Knot Life strengthens this mission, supporting local journalism that unites rather than divides.”
