National Apprenticeship Week 2025: University of Staffordshire celebrates with special conference

University of Staffordshire is preparing to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2025 with a conference exploring the future of higher and degree apprenticeships.

Taking place on Friday, 14 February, the event will feature industry experts and guest speakers sharing their insights, experiences, and innovative strategies for shaping the apprenticeship landscape.

Talks will be based around the changing landscape of apprenticeships, new apprenticeship standards for 2025 and engaging tomorrow’s talent.

A recruitment panel featuring experts from employers including Capula, and BT will be hosted by Martin Tideswell, the university’s Director of Communities and Commercial Engagement.

A spokesperson said: “This is an excellent opportunity for employers and businesses to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the conversation about developing the workforce of tomorrow.”

The event runs from 9am until 12pm.

The Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship programme webinar – taking place between 11am and 12pm on Monday, 10 February – is designed for senior leaders who are ready to take the next step in their career and elevate their leadership skills. Meanwhile, the Level 6 Biomedical Scientist Apprenticeship programme webinar, which takes place between 11am and 12pm on Wednesday, 12 February, is for individuals looking to transition into the healthcare sector and healthcare employers seeking professional development.
  • An apprenticeship fair will be held at the university between 9am and 3pm on Saturday, 8 February. The event for employees, school leavers and those looking to switch careers will give an insight into higher and degree apprenticeships. Click here to register.
