A free networking breakfast dedicated to the visitor economy in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent takes place next week.
The event being held in the Catalyst Gallery at University of Staffordshire coincides with English Tourism Week.
Businesspeople are invited to join educators and future talent for a series of insightful talks covering the visitor attraction offering in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, celebrating the city’s centenary, a student’s view on the visitor economy and the launch of a business advisory board.
There will also be time for networking.
Frances-Marie Hitchen, a lecturer at Staffordshire Business School, based at University of Staffordshire, said: “At Staffordshire Business School, we believe that place matters – it shapes our businesses, communities, and visitor experiences. This event is about bringing together professionals, educators, and future talent to explore how we can enhance and grow the visitor economy in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
“By attending the event we hope that individuals will gain valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges in the visitor economy, celebrate local pride as we mark 100 years of Stoke-on-Trent, engage in meaningful conversations with like-minded professionals and shape the future of our region’s tourism and hospitality sector.
“This is just the first of many networking events dedicated to collaboration and progress and we would love for our local providers to be involved.”
The ‘Power of Place’ Networking Event takes place on the university’s Leek Road campus, in Stoke-on-Trent, between 8am and 10am on Monday, 17 March.
