Two businesses have collaborated to launch a new shopping experience which they hope will draw people to a North Staffordshire town.
Memories are Made has opened in Kidsgrove offering knitting, crochet and embroidery supplies, and gifts by local artisans.
It is also home to bespoke memory bear maker Kellie Hollis and homebrewing kit and supplies retailer The Jolly Brewer.
The Market Street shop used to be taken up by The Jolly Brewer with Kellie making her memory bears in space upstairs.
Kellie, who is running the new venture, has now moved to the ground floor and is using the upstairs area as a craft studio and a space for local creatives to sell their handmade products such as jewellery, candles and fairy doors.
She said: “We have a good range of yarn that people will travel for, but we’re much more than that.
“The craft studio is something different for Kidsgrove, because previously you’d have to travel to Biddulph, Alsager or Congleton.”
Kellie ran her memory bear business from home for 10 years before taking up space at the shop two years ago.
She has welcomed around 10 local makers to sell their things at the new place.
Workshops such as crochet and one making pottery highland cows have already taken place, and future events include crystals and bracelet making session on 5 June and a watercolour workshop on 24 June.
There are also regular sewing classes and sessions where people can do their own crafts while making new friends.
The shop underwent a six-week refurbishment before reopening with the new set up.

This shop is what Kidsgrove has needed for a long time The craft groups teach new skills while meeting like minded people . Thank you Kellie
Congratulations on your success. Such a beautiful shop and is definately a community buzz about Kidsgrove and beyond ❤️
