Practical AI strategies to improve productivity and innovation were shared with over 100 Staffordshire business leaders at the bet365 Stadium on Friday.
The latest instalment of the Staffordshire Chambers’ Big Business Breakfast series highlighted the ways that AI is being used across sectors to improve and drive new opportunities for growth.
The event also saw the announcement of the next Big Business Breakfast event: Building Brands and Silencing Scandals, which will provide businesses with clear tools to strengthen their brand, boost customer loyalty and handle reputational risks.

Businesses at the breakfast were also issued with a stark warning over the rise of criminals exploiting AI by Michelle Ohren, Detective Inspector at West Midlands Police and Director of the West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre,
Michelle offered a valuable perspective on the risks associated with AI, with a focus on cybercrime and the support available to help businesses build digital resilience.
Joining Michelle on stage was Rob Dixon, lecturer in strategy, enterprise and sustainability at Manchester Metropolitan University and CEO of Dixon Humphreys, who drew on his experience supporting organisations with AI integration, while explaining how businesses can stay competitive in the AI field.
Matthew Byrom, Head of Business Excellence & Quality Management at Siemens GB&I, shared examples of how digital tools are being used to improve team performance and productivity. His session also highlighted the importance of combining speed, creativity and structure when implementing AI-led change.
The next Big Business Breakfast event, taking place on Friday, 19 September, will feature three leading experts in media strategy, customer experience and personal branding, offering guidance on how to build stronger, more resilient brands.
Featuring at the next event will be Mark Brealey, former BBC journalist and crisis communication expert, sharing proven strategies for managing brand reputation during a crisis.
Joining Mark will be Ian Kelsall, Customer Experience Director at insight6, who will explain how creating a customer-centric brand builds loyalty and strengthens long-term trust, and personal branding specialist Kirsty Hulse, who will highlight how leaders can balance authenticity and consistency to shape company culture and client perception.
