A production firm in Newcastle-under-Lyme has merged with an events company to form a comprehensive event management business.
PH Production Services (PHPS) says its merger with Wales-based Affinity Events will enable them to take on more complex events both in the UK and abroad and offer a more tactical, streamlined approach to managing client events.
PHPS works with local authorities, business improvement districts and community arts initiatives such as Appetite to present events including The Big Feast in Stoke-on-Trent and regional Christmas light switch-ons.
The two firms have collaborated and worked together to stage hundreds of events and conferences over the last 10 years.
Both businesses will continue to operate from their respective bases but will trade under the PH Production Services band.
Pete Herbert, Managing Director of PHPS, said: “This merging of resources will make our operation more robust and will boost our capability to support larger, more complex events, festivals and conferences. Together we have a wealth of experience and specialist personnel, it’s an exciting time.”
Affinity’s Jenni Brews said: “Joining up with PHPS almost feels like a firmer commitment between long-term friends. Together we offer so much more, our tech-savvy creativity and our people centric approach provides a strong proposition for event organisers.”
While becoming one team, there will be continuity in the way clients work with them and who they work with and directors Jenni and Keith Brews, Pete Herbert and Russell Coppock will all stay respectively involved at the helm.
In addition to the merger, two new technicians and a Project Development and Marketing Manager have been appointed in anticipation of a busy 2025 events calendar.
