Through the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Stoke and Staffordshire can access a free professional audit to identify opportunities for savings.
Even better, eligible businesses can apply for funding of up to £100,000 to put the recommended technologies into place — supporting upgrades that cut costs and carbon emissions.
Cutting Heat Loss: Logic Resourcing’s Story
For Logic Resourcing Ltd, BEAS support made it possible to install secondary glazing and block up a draughty entrance partition – tackling a longstanding problem with heat loss.
“The glazing has made a huge impact in terms of reducing heat loss out of the old original sash windows. Over the winter we have seen a reduction in bills due to the changes made. Thank you for your support during the application process.” – Steve Dufresne, Director
The project is set to save 2,006 kWh of energy annually, equivalent to 0.4 tonnes of CO₂, and cut costs by around £161 each year.
