Staffordshire Chambers confirms appointment of Interim CEO and Deputy CEO

Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has confirmed the appointment of its new Interim CEO and Deputy Interim CEO.

Chris Plant will assume the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect, supported by Tom Nadin as the Chambers’ new Interim Deputy CEO.

Steve Timmis, President of Staffordshire Chambers, said: “This team has been put together to best represent and to best service each and every team member, business member, partner, and Patron, and you only have to look at the experience, expertise and length of service at our Chamber and wider to know that we really are in the safest of hands.

“Chris has been our Deputy CEO for the last three and a half years, and has worked within the wider Chamber network for a further 12.

“Tom has been here at Staffordshire Chamber for over 13 years, and Catherine and Katie have exceptional experience across business and commerce, as well as tenure here on our Board.

“We are delighted to have such a skilled and robust team in post so promptly to take our Chamber forward, and we will now focus on recruiting the perfect full-term CEO.”

Chris Plant said: “I am honoured to step into this interim role and work alongside such a talented and dedicated team.

“Staffordshire Chambers has an outstanding legacy of supporting businesses across our region, and I am committed to ensuring we continue to provide exceptional service and leadership during this transition. I look forward to working with our members, partners, and colleagues as we build on our achievements and prepare for an exciting future.”

Chris and Tom will be supported by the Senior Leadership Team, alongside Board Directors Catherine Crockett and Katie Beardmore, who will provide specific strategic guidance.

Tom added: I’m honoured to step into this interim role alongside Chris and the wider Chamber team.

“Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has been a big part of my career and I am delighted to continue to support it’s proud history of helping businesses across our region, and I’m committed to ensuring that continuity, stability and ambition remain at the heart of everything we do.
