Petrol station prepares to reopen following speedy sale

A Stoke-on-Trent petrol station is set to reopen later this month after being acquired by another group.

Jacks Service Station on the B5051 in Norton has been sold by the Rahman family to Premier Petrol Stations.

The sale, handled by Christie & Co regional director Dave Morris, completed just 10 days after solicitors were instructed.

A full shop refit was planned and the site, which closed in September, is expected to open around the 11 December.

Jet will continue to supply the fuel and Morrisons will supply the shop.

Muhammad Yasir from Premier Petrol Stations said: “I am delighted with this latest acquisition, which is located in a great area for us, close to our other sites in Stoke.

“We were quick to act, with only ten days from offer to completion. We would like to thank Dave Morris at Christie & Co for being available around the clock to ensure the acquisition went through in such a short space of time.”

Dave said: “The site was sold in very unusual circumstances, but we were able to work with the seller and buyer to achieve a sale promptly so that Mr Rahman can focus on his other business interests. The site is a great addition to Premier Petrol Stations’ portfolio and we look forward to seeing the site fully re-open in the next few weeks.

“This is the second forecourt sale to complete in the region in the last few weeks, with several more in the pipeline, and it is encouraging to see strong appetite for the sector despite various economic headwinds.”
