Graduate internship programme gives firms access to subsidised talent

1 min read

Businesses are being given the opportunity to recruit a part-funded graduate intern thanks to an initiative run by University of Staffordshire.

The Graduate Accelerator Internship Programme has limited spaces remaining for companies to recruit a graduate intern from the university.

Firms will receive a bursary for each graduate they recruit from any university course, and will only be required to cover 30 per cent of the cost (currently £950 +VAT).

Interns will last 160 hours and must be completed by the end of July 2026.

Chelsey Redfern, Senior Placement Officer (Graduates) at University of Staffordshire, said: “We had great feedback from employers who took part last year, who praised the benefits the placement brought, said it was a cost-effective way to explore graduate talent and described it as a ‘no brainer’ to take on their intern afterwards.”

Any businesses interested in the programme should email graduatehub@staffs.ac.uk
