UHNM Charity runners gear up for London half marathon to boost patient care

1 min read

With one month to go until the London Landmarks Half Marathon, UHNM Charity is calling on the local business community to get behind a team of 22 runners raising funds to support patient care.

The team, made up of staff, supporters and fundraisers from across Staffordshire, will take on the 13.1-mile route through central London on 12 April, aiming to generate vital funding for projects across the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

Funds raised will support enhancements to services at Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford, including investment in equipment, research and additional support for patients and their families.

As training enters its final stages, businesses and individuals are being encouraged to support the initiative through donations or by sharing the campaign to help maximise its impact across the region.

Lisa Thomson, Director of UHNM Charity, said: “With one month to go, the excitement is really building for our team. Their efforts will support a wide range of projects that make a real difference to patients and staff across our hospitals. Community and business support is vital in helping us reach our fundraising goals.”

The charity is urging organisations to show their backing in the final weeks ahead of the event, with all funds raised contributing directly to improving healthcare provision locally.

Businesses and individuals can support the team by donating via the charity’s fundraising page.
