A network of free business support hubs has expanded across Staffordshire, giving businesses in four districts regular access to advice, networking opportunities and workspace closer to home.
The Business Hubs are being delivered through a partnership between Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, the Skills Hub and local organisations, with monthly sessions now taking place in South Staffordshire, Staffordshire Moorlands, Uttoxeter and Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The initiative is designed to make it easier for businesses to connect with support services and other local businesses without travelling long distances or committing to formal events.
Businesses can attend the drop-in sessions at a time that suits them, bringing their laptop and working from the venue while accessing advice and making new contacts.
The hubs are currently held at Codsall Community Hub, Leek Building Society, the Globe Foundation in Uttoxeter and Keele in Town in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
“Many businesses do not have access to suitable workspaces. The Business Hubs help address this challenge by providing flexible, accessible spaces where businesses can collaborate, share ideas and access support when needed.” Tom Nadin, Head of Projects and Business Services at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.
The latest expansion means businesses in a wider range of communities can now access support on their doorstep as organisations continue efforts to improve engagement with businesses across the county.
