Global online fashion and lifestyle retailer SHEIN has opened a new e-commerce logistics warehouse in Cannock, creating 450 jobs.

The new facility, totalling approximately 376,000 sq ft, represents a significant expansion of its UK fulfilment network and is the third SHEIN warehouse on the Cannock campus, where SHEIN has doubled its footprint on site.

Its opening brings the total number of logistics jobs supported by SHEIN in the UK to 1,000.

Martin Reidy, SHEIN’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Europe, said: “This investment reinforces our commitment to better serving our UK customers and marketplace partners.

“This facility enhances our ability to deliver a faster, more reliable service while supporting local economic development through job creation and partnerships with businesses in the region.”

State-of-the-art advanced automation technology has been deployed, including robotic picking systems and automated sorting lines, designed to improve operational efficiency.

The Midlands facility is the latest major infrastructural investment by SHEIN in the UK, following the opening of three London offices and one in Manchester.

SHEIN is also continuing to develop its new e-commerce logistics hub in Wroclaw, Poland, which opened last winter.
