Olympic champion Bryony Page will join fellow Olympians and international medallists including in Stoke-on-Trent this weekend to celebrate the launch of a new £250,000 trampoline gymnastics centre.
Stoke Trampolining and Gymnastics Club has moved its first permanent home in Etruria after operating from Trentham Academy for a number of years.
The facility has been created following an investment of around £250,000 from parent company Altius Gymnastics. It will be led by GB coaching duo Daniel and Kate Greaves, a husband-and-wife team most recently coached Great Britain at the World Championships in Spain last November.
Bryony will cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the centre at a free event open to the public on Sunday (14 June) from 12pm.
She will be joined by fellow Olympians and World, European and British medallists Luke Strong, Zak Perzamanos and Corey Walkes.
Jay Scouler, CEO of Altius Gymnastics, which also has a base in Huddersfield, said: “We are incredibly excited to now have a dedicated home where young people can come along for fun, fitness and confidence and where those with big ambitions can follow in Bryony’s footsteps all the way to Olympic level.”

The club has been operating for more than 30 years and currently has in the region of 150 members, but this is expected to increase thanks to the new base.
The new centre is home to nine full-sized Olympic trampolines, a foam it and a programme of classes for people of all ages and abilities.
Weekday morning preschool sessions are being introduced for children up to the age of four, while family fun sessions will be held at weekends and in school holidays.
Jay added: “We want the club to grow organically while retaining the quality of coaching. We also want to make sure we are delivering a safe space where people are fully included and have the opportunity to develop.
“The foam pit will be a game-changer, allowing children to learn new skills in the safest possible way. It’ll help them to develop high-level skills much earlier too.”
The new centre can be found on Crown Road and is based in a unit last used as a vending machines distribution hub.
