A Cameron Homes site manager has been recognised for his dedication to raising standards in house building after being crowned a winner at an esteemed industry awards ceremony.
Neil Dutton has been recognised as one of the top site managers in the country by the National House Building Council (NHBC).
Neil has been a site manager for Cameron Homes for over 10 years and has been based at the Octara Court development at Yoxall for over a year. He was praised for his work there after scooping a Seal of Excellence award in the ‘medium housebuilder’ category, having won a Pride in the Job award earlier this year.
Site managers who demonstrate exceptional quality standards are recognised in four tiers of regional and national awards, with Birmingham’s International Convention Centre playing host to the regional finals.
Neil said: “A big thanks goes out to our site-based and office teams, and the sub-contractors who have contributed to the success of the Octara Court development. I also want to show gratitude to my family for their support and Cameron Homes for backing me throughout the past decade.
“All our focus is on delivering the best quality houses for our customers to make into lived-in homes.”
Less than 100 Seal of Excellence 2026 winners have been chosen by the NHBC judges, after thousands of inspections took place from a field of 16,000 sites.
Lewis Brazier, Head of Production for Cameron Homes, said: “Neil has worked tremendously hard coordinating his on-site team to reach the exacting standards required.
“The judges particularly referenced the logistical challenges faced on such a tight construction site, the pre-planning work, organisation, as well as the complexity of Octara Court’s large house designs.
“This achievement is so well deserved, and we are proud of Neil for bringing home a coveted Seal of Excellence award.”
Octara Court is the seventh site Neil has run for Cameron Homes.
The development comprises eight substantial detached homes, which are the largest new builds currently on the market in the area. House prices there range from £820,000 to over £1 million.
