Outdoor clothing brand Regatta is to close its store at the Trentham Estate after 10 years of trading at the popular retail and leisure destination.
The store will close on Sunday, 11 October, following the end of its current lease. A closing down sale is already underway.
Three members of staff work at the store, and Regatta said it will find alternative employment for its team members where possible.
News of the closure comes a day after Daily Focus reported that book retailer Waterstones is moving into the tourist attraction’s retail village before the end of the year.
Jimmy Reynolds, Regatta’s Brand and Commercial Director, said: “We can confirm that, regrettably, our Trentham store will close on 11 October following the end of our current lease.
“We’d like to thank our Trentham customers and colleagues for all their support over the last 10 years.
“We will work with our team members to find alternative opportunities where possible, and customers can continue to visit our nearby stores in Talke and Bridgemere.”
A Trentham spokesperson told Daily Focus that the new Waterstones will occupy a unit being vacated by a current retailer, but it’s exact location within the retail village has not been confirmed.
