New directory offers green businesses in Staffordshire the opportunity to thrive

1 min read

A new directory has been launched to give organisations operating within the green economy across Staffordshire a platform to showcase and grow their business.

The Staffordshire Green Supplier Directory has been described as an ‘exciting development’ which is free to sign up for and available for companies and individuals across the county who supply low carbon green technologies, products or services.

It has been developed under the Staffordshire Green Skills for Growth programme, a partnership between Staffordshire County Council, Keele University and Innovate UK

Simon Tagg, Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Infrastructure, and Climate Change, said: “The Staffordshire Green Supplier Directory is an exciting development.

“We want to see any business in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent that installs or supplies low carbon technologies, or offers green solutions and products, sign-up and take their profile to the next level.

“Registration is free and the categories for inclusion are continuously growing, so people can find solutions with pinpoint accuracy to meet their needs.

“Any Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent business with a postal address in the county can be part of the directory if they are a green supplier.”

Emily Pollard, Director from Star Solar Power, listed in the directory, said: “We are thrilled to be part of the Green Supplier’s Directory as it has increased our visibility and connected us with a strong network of customers and like-minded businesses passionate about renewable energy.

“It’s an honour to be listed alongside other great installers who share our commitment to sustainability. We highly recommend other green suppliers take advantage of this fantastic free service.”

The directory, hosted by Staffordshire Business and Environment Network (sben), can be viewed here

sben, a free to join organisation, is delivering a series of workshops under the Staffordshire Green Skills for Growth programme, each with a focus on improving soft skills linked to the green economy.

The next one, on 13 March, focuses on how to promote sustainability in the workplace through improving effective communication and leadership skills.
