Tile Mountain Group reports ‘significant’ growth despite ‘challenging’ market conditions

Tile Mountain Group has reported ‘significant’ growth in its latest annual accounts, with revenues climbing across both its retail arm and the wider consolidated group.

For the year ending 31 December 2024, Tile Mountain’s revenue rose by almost £6 million to more than £37 million, with EBITDA increasing by 13 per cent. Across the consolidated group, revenue grew by £28 million to more than £130 million, with EBITDA up by more than 12 per cent.

In a just-published report within the group of companies’ accounts the directors said: “Despite challenging market conditions, Tile Mountain Group continues to produce strong financial results.”

The Stoke-on-Trent headquartered company – which specialises in the sale of tiles, stone and accessories – continued to expand during 2024, with new showrooms keeping the group’s plan to reach 50 UK stores on track. These sites are said to be producing ‘strong financial results to date’.

Eurorad Limited, part of the group, began trading from a new 200,000 sq ft automated warehouse, which directors say will provide ‘significantly increased capacity and efficiency’. In addition, after the balance sheet date, the group purchased the 30-acre former Johnsons Tiles site next to its existing Tunstall warehouse complex

The report highlights several risks facing the firm, including general economic pressures, foreign exchange fluctuations and liquidity. However, the board said the business was well placed to manage these challenges, noting that ‘given its strong trading history and significant online presence, it is well placed to handle economic turbulence’.

The business reported a rise in utility emissions linked to new store openings but continues to roll out energy-saving measures including sensor lighting and automated heating and cooling systems.

A performance-related bonus scheme is in place, alongside training opportunities and policies supporting diversity, equality, and disabled employees.

Charitable donations during the year totalled £6,166, including £3,100 to Ghausia Mosque in Cobridge, down from £17,398 donated in 2023.

The report stated: “Despite several corporate failures in the bathroom and tile industries, the group continued to see significant levels of growth in 2024 with additional further growth evident in 2025.”
