A community pub will reopen its doors next week following a £400,000 refurbishment.
New operators Simon and Karen Terry have been documenting the transformation of The Horns Inn in Slitting Mill, near Rugeley, while work has been undertaken by Punch Pubs & Co over the past seven weeks.
They hope the investment will make it a go-to place in the community which offers great food, warm hospitality and a vibrant community spirit.
It is due to reopen on Tuesday, 17 February.
Work has included full external decorations and signage and an internal refresh with lighting and new furniture.
The pub will remain dog-friendly in designated areas, and a dog wash is among the new facilities outside.

Tony Riley, Punch Pubs & Co’s Operations Manager, said: “This is more than a refresh. It’s a bold new direction.
“Our ambition is simple: to make The Horns the number one destination in Staffordshire for great food, exceptional service, and truly unforgettable experiences.
“I’m incredibly confident that Simon and Karen will lead this pub to success – we’re counting down the days to the reopening.”
The food and drink menu has also been given an overhaul, led by head chef Arek Janas. It will feature bar snacks and sharers like crispy pea, and lemon bites, tater tots with gochujang mayonnaise and butter chicken croquettes, alongside a range of classic mains such as Somerset pork and fennel ravioli, Highland venison casserole and Hunter’s chicken schnitzel.
Simon said: “We’re thrilled to have Arek leading our kitchen – he started with us at just 16, worked his way up, and now has a reputation for hearty, great food backed by 5-star ratings and consistently exceptional standards.”
Simon and Karen have more than 30 years’ experience in hospitality and plan to support meaningful causes, starting with Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Karen added: “We want The Horns to be a true community hub. Whether it’s local clubs, walking groups, horse riders or families out for a great meal, we aim to be a welcoming destination for everyone.”

Great news for Staffordshire folk.
Every success to Simon Karen and Arek, and all the staff at The Horns.
