New appointments at Alextra Group reflect rapid growth

1 min read

Booming business at an accountancy firm based in North Staffordshire and Cheshire has led to the appointment of two Associate Directors.

The audit and accounting arms of Alextra Group have both experienced rapid growth over the last few years – and the new roles will ensure continuing levels of customer service excellence.

Wayne Riley has joined Alextra to become Associate Audit Director and Joanne Hamilton has been promoted from tax manager to Associate Tax Director.

Wayne, who has decades of auditing and accounting experience, will help the firm to realise its collective goal of delivering strategic financial solutions to its customers.

He has a unique talent for uncovering growth and improvement opportunities during the audit process, helping corporate clients to identify untapped potential and chart new paths to success.

“I’m looking forward to getting settled into my new role and helping the Group to foster growth and drive success for clients in every audit engagement,” he said.

“The plan over the next few months will be to grow the team, focus on personal development, and become a trusted advisor for clients looking to maximise their potential.”

Joanne, who has extensive expertise in accountancy practice and tax management, joined Alextra as Tax Manager in January 2022 and she has strengthened the relationship between the Business and Wealth Management teams.

With more than 20 years of experience in handling tax issues large and small, she especially enjoys the people-focused aspect of her role in tax management.

“I’m really looking forward to growing our team so that Alextra becomes the first port of call for people looking for support with their taxes,” she said.

“Alextra offers a wealth of services under one roof, including accounting and wealth management. It makes good business sense to us and our clients to ensure our tax offering is as comprehensive as possible.

“With our in-house expertise and network of external experts, our clients will benefit from a more holistic approach to business and personal tax planning and management.”

Wayne and Joanne will both work between Alextra’s two offices in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Crewe.
