Award-winning domestic appliance provider RKW continues to expand with 120 jobs up for grabs.
The Stoke-on-Trent-based company, which designs, develops and distributes small domestic appliances for a range of leading brands, has acquired long-established businesses Burco and Redring.
With Swan and Wade Ceramics also recently purchased, the firm is looking to increase its workforce and a recruitment drive has been launched.
A variety of new jobs will be created in the design, development and finance divisions at the head office in Fenton and also at the Staffordshire-based distribution arm.
Managing Director and co-founder Rob Sutton said: “Burco and Redring are both steeped in heritage and are extremely well respected in the trade for their high quality, innovative products.
“Now is an exciting time to join RKW. We are proud to have onboarded two other British heritage brands in the last four months one of which being Wade, a Stoke-on-Trent firm that we all know and love.
“I am from Stoke-on-Trent myself and I am fully aware of the fantastic talent we have in our city.
“I encourage anyone looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced and dynamic company to get in touch with our recruitment team who can provide further information on the roles we have available.”
RKW, which has a distribution centre in Stone and offices in UK, Hong Kong, India and China, was recently recognised at the “Oscars” of the housewares sector.
It landed the Excellence in Product Development accolade, recognising innovation with products such as SmartStart by Tower, at the prestigious Excellence in Housewares awards.
As part of a long-term plan to become more self-sufficient and introduce green energy to the company, solar panels have been installed at the Stone Distribution Centre in an investment worth £100,000.
The company develops and distributes appliances and housewares for Black and Decker, Lavazza, Morphy Richards, Tower, Smeg, Russell Hobbs and Breville.
From its 750,000 sq. ft. Staffordshire distribution centre products are sold to major UK retailers including Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Argos, Currys, Very and Amazon.
RKW is the trading division of Sutton Venture Group which has a turnover of more than £200 million.
