Supporters attending Stoke City’s first game of the 2024/25 Championship season tomorrow will be in for a treat as they’re welcomed through the doors of a brand-new fan zone.

The Boothen Quarter, a product of two years of design, planning and construction, will officially open for the first time ahead of the Potters’ Championship clash against Coventry City.

Located next to the North Car Park at the Boothen End of the stadium, this space is designed to host up to 1,500 fans and features a 41.5m² LED screen, a stage for live performances, various food and drink vendors, covered seating areas and modern restrooms.

The £1.5 million Boothen Quarter investment forms part of Stoke City’s broader £30 million five-year development initiative, which began in 2022 and includes upgrades to both the bet365 Stadium and Clayton Wood training ground.

Simon King, Chief Operating Officer at Stoke City, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that we are going to be ready to welcome supporters for the season’s opener against Coventry.

“We will have a whole host of entertainment on stage and, given the kick off time being 12:30, we will have entertainment both before and after the match.

“Food and drink will be available throughout, and we hope to offer a different experience to what supporters receive within the stadium, with a street food focus and a different line of alcoholic and soft beverages.

“As well as providing a fantastic facility for supporters on match days, the aim of the fan zone is to create a venue for non-matchdays.

“We are very, very keen for that venue to be used as much as possible for community use, for fan engagement events and for commercial events.”

Following the refurbishment of Ricardo’s sports bar, advancements have included the installation of LED floodlights at the bet365 Stadium and the introduction of licensed standing, which has involved works to bring home supporters behind both goals and either side of the tunnel as part of the Club’s atmosphere enhancing plans.

Stoke City supporters wishing to use the all-new Boothen Quarter can gain access from 10am on Saturday, with the itinerary for Saturday’s showdown with the Sky Blues as follows:
