A Staffordshire-based printer specialist has moved to larger premises to support its continued growth.
CDS Printer Solutions, which offers printer sales, repairs and specialist services, has relocated to Silverdale Enterprise Centre, one of Staffordshire County Council’s eight business hubs providing affordable, flexible space for small firms.
The company was founded seven years ago by Cath Fearn and her husband Shay Newman, and has built a reputation for supporting businesses across the region, including supplying hard-to-find spare parts and services tailored to pharmacies.
CDS has now upgraded from its previous small upper-floor office on Parkhouse Industrial Estate in Chesterton to a more spacious and practical unit at Silverdale, which offers more room for repairs, storage and customer visits.
They intend to add two apprentices to their four-strong team once they are settled in their new home, which has seen them invest ‘several thousand pounds’ in new racking and equipment to kit out the space.
Director Cath Fearn said: “We’re delighted to be moving into Silverdale. It gives us the space and facilities to keep growing and improving.
“We’ve always been committed to helping local businesses keep their printers running smoothly, and this move allows us to broaden our range of services.”

The team continues to work with leading brands including HP, Brother, Zebra and Lexmark, helping businesses reduce waste, extend the life of their printers and avoid unnecessary replacements.
Martin Murray, Staffordshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and skills, said: “It’s fantastic to see a business like CDS Printer Solutions using one of our enterprise centres to expand and meet growing demand.
“Our centres exist to give small businesses a strong foundation to build from and CDS is a great example of how that support helps businesses grow, creates jobs and delivers specialist services across the region.
“Staffordshire – at the core of the country – is the beating heart of enterprise and opportunity, making it the ideal place to start a business.”
Silverdale Enterprise Centre currently has two 40-foot container workshops available to rent. Meeting rooms and hot desks can also be booked by both tenants and non-tenants.
