Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has revealed the finalists for the Manufacturer of the Year category at the 2026 Business Awards.
Sponsored by Indurent, the award recognises businesses that have excelled in manufacturing over the past three years, looking at all aspects of the process including product design, testing, development, production, marketing, sales and overall business performance.
Now in its 11th year, the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards is the largest business awards programme in the region. Winners will be crowned at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026.
The three finalists are:
Stafford Engineering Services Limited – A family-run precision engineering business from Hixon whose 2024 tender win with Queensland Ambulance Service in Australia produced an order of 2,500 units and opened the door to a worldwide sole supplier agreement with Zoll Medical. Turnover doubled from £700,000 in 2024 to £1.4m in 2025, with profits rising 363%. Find out more about their application, here.
Goodwin International Ltd – Rooted in Stoke-on-Trent since 1883, Goodwin International produces high-integrity engineered components and flow-control products for nuclear, defence, petrochemical and power generation applications, with clients including Rolls-Royce, Sellafield, BP and GE Power. Planning approval for two new production units is expected to create up to 100 further skilled jobs in Staffordshire. Find out more about their application, here.
ILF Limited – The only commercial producer of copper bar in the UK, ILF grew turnover from £15.7m in 2024 to £20m in 2025, supported by £4.5m of machinery investment and a copper extrusion machine that has transformed the business’s market position.
