A new one-stop shop website has been launched for job hunters in Stoke-on-Trent.

The site recruitment.stoke.gov.uk showcases Stoke-on-Trent City Council recruitment opportunities in one place.

It also includes information about the rewards and benefits of working for the local authority, which is one of the city’s largest employers.

Councillor Jane Ashworth, leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, said: “This new website makes it easy for someone looking for a job or a placement. The engaging and informative pages have been developed to encourage more people to join our workforce and to inform potential new employees about the breadth of rewards we can provide.

“Users can explore the types of roles we have on offer, find out more about the culture of the council, and see how we place diversity, staff wellbeing and resident services as a priority.”

“It’s simple to search for vacancies, see the many benefits of a rewarding career with the city council and apply for a role.

“Working for the city doesn’t just mean enjoying the benefits of good wages, conditions and a pension, our staff go home each day knowing they have made a positive difference to our great city.”

The site also has a section for students who want to apply for a work placement.

Schools, colleges and universities can also find out about the council’s education engagement team and the opportunities it offers.
