Have your say in latest Quarterly Economic Survey

1 min read

Businesses of all shapes and sizes are being encouraged to complete the latest Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Economic Survey (QES).

QES is the UK’s largest independent business survey and aims to identify the key challenges faced by firms today. Its results are regarded as a useful indicator of how the economy is performing.

As an incentive to take part, Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce will enter all completed surveys into a prize draw to win Parogon Group vouchers (contact details must be left at the end of the survey).

Declan Riddell, Policy Adviser and Stafford Chamber Manager, said: “This is one of the most important times for businesses across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire to complete the QES.

“Increases to National Insurance employer contributions and Minimum Living Wage came into effect from last month, so this is a good time for businesses to share their levels of confidence and outlook, as they grapple with higher costs.

“The information provided will help to shape and influence current policy thinking, as the data is shared with the British Chambers of Commerce, Government departments including HM Treasury and the Cabinet officer as well as the Bank of England.

“We would be keen to hear from firms of all shapes and sizes (starts ups, sole traders, SMEs, medium sized and large corporations) as it will help create an accurate picture of the current business landscape. Whether a seasoned director or relatively new to a company, we’re encouraging businesses to spare just a few minutes to fill in the survey.”
