Punch Pubs & Co has announced changes to its leadership team.
The Burton upon Trent-based business, led by CEO Andy Spencer, has created a new role of group projects director, appointing Steve Worrall to take charge of a dedicated project management office and oversee strategic initiatives.
Steve, formerly managing director of Leased & Tenanted and Shared Services at Punch, will be responsible for ensuring that growth drivers including partnerships, investments and acquisitions are managed with transparency and consistency.
CEO Andy Spencer said: “Throughout his time with our business, Steve has demonstrated his ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes, and I’m excited about the positive momentum he will bring to the entire organisation via this new role.”
Punch is also merging oversight of its Leased & Tenanted (L&T) and Management Partnerships (MP) divisions. Robin Belither, pictured above, – formerly managing director of Management Partnerships – has been promoted to managing director of Punch Pubs to lead both areas.
Andy said: “Robin’s leadership will drive unified, sustainable growth, helping our operational teams learn from both business units and move more quickly. He’ll be supported by our outstanding operations directors in both our MP and L&T leadership teams, whose complementary strengths will enable Robin to make a real impact in this expanded role.”
The company has identified five priorities for the year ahead: strengthening partnerships, improving investment speed and quality, moving more pubs into ‘optimal models’, acquiring new sites and driving innovation.
