Waterworld’s new owners launch historic Splash ‘n’ Safari joint ticket offer linking major Midlands attractions

New owners of the Waterworld Leisure Resort in Stoke-on-Trent have launched an historic joint ticket offer linking three of the Midlands’ biggest family attractions, Waterworld, West Midlands Safari Park, and Drayton Manor Resort.

The move follows the summer acquisition of Waterworld by Looping Group, one of Europe’s leading regional leisure operators, and marks the first time the three destinations have collaborated on shared entry packages.

The new ‘Splash ’N’ Safari’ combo ticket, already on sale, gives visitors access to both Waterworld and West Midlands Safari Park. A three-park annual pass, adding Drayton Manor to the mix, is set to launch in November.

Waterworld’s Managing Director Wayne Goodall said the partnership symbolises a new era for the resort:

“Within the first three months we’ve already launched the ‘Splash ’N’ Safari’ combo ticket with West Midlands Safari Park and have big plans for the three-park annual pass. With the new owners, we’ll bring experience, quality and security to the next level.”

Looping Group’s takeover promises further investment and upgrades at the Stoke-on-Trent site, including a fully refurbished Water’s Edge restaurant and new pool hall improvements planned for November.

The Group, which also owns Drayton Manor Resort and West Midlands Safari Park, has a strong track record of transforming visitor experiences. Drayton Manor has introduced major attractions such as the Gold Rush rollercoaster and Vikings themed area, while West Midlands Safari Park has launched luxury safari lodges overlooking giraffes, rhinos and elephants.

Industry observers say the joint ticketing strategy represents a major step in regional collaboration, helping to boost visitor numbers, extend stays, and cement Staffordshire’s position as a powerhouse of the UK’s family tourism sector.
