Russell Roof Tiles has exceeded its fundraising target for the year – raising more than £60,000 to tie in with its 60th anniversary.

The Burton upon Trent headquartered manufacturer has stepped up its support for good causes this year with £60,448.16 raised for its community fund Give4Good, which supports local and international organisations.

Cheques for £8,731.40 have already been handed out to Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire Blood BikesBurton YMCABurton Albion Community Trust and Scropton Riding for the Disabled.

Fundraisers have included the firm’s Annual Big Quiz, which added a record £20,950 to the total.

Managing director Andrew Hayward said: “It’s an important part of our company values that we support our local communities, recognising those who make a real difference to peoples’ lives.

“It’s fitting that in our diamond jubilee year, we boost this support even further.”

Russell Roof Tiles is marking 15 years of ‘significant independence’ and growth which has included extensive development across all three of its sites.

£100,000 investment was made into its Burton training facilities earlier this year and the same amount was spent on new machinery to speed up output to meet continued market demand.

The company, a major producer of concrete roof tiles and accessories, has also launched revolutionary new product Bute3®, which combines the aesthetic appeal of traditional plain tiles with the efficiency of a modern interlocking design, a result of five years and £2 million in product development.

Andrew added: “I am incredibly proud to lead a dedicated team that consistently innovates and outperforms expectations. As we mark our 60th anniversary, we remain focused on transforming our operations, improving manufacturing efficiency and delivering better, more sustainable products. We are looking forward to another decade, and beyond to continued growth and success.”
