A family-run rural wedding venue which is looking forward to its busiest year yet is set to launch a programme of corporate events.
Businesses will be able to enjoy away day activities such as alpaca trekking or axe throwing – along with a choice of lunch menus – at The Oaks, in Dilhorne, as part of the venue’s new offerings for 2026, with packages available for 10 to 90 people.
The team are also planning to hold a new range of events such as Bonkers Bingo, which is taking place on Saturday, 28 February, from 6pm to 11pm.
The venue, which launched around four years ago, has recently added a dedicated wedding co-ordinator to the team to look after every aspect of a couple’s big day. The business is also committed to sustainability, trialling a paperless PDF brochure and using fur from its nine alpacas for insulation when they are sheared
Creative director Rianna Millar, who runs the business with husband Mike and parents-in-law Julie and Tony, said: “This is a family-run business and we all live on site, which makes it very much a lifestyle as well as a job. We live and breathe it and there’s never a dull moment.
“We get to know our wedding couples very well and by the time the day arrives they are like friends. My husband and I were the first people to get married here so I have experienced it all first-hand.
“The business has expanded naturally over time to include other events and corporate days. This is going to be our busiest year yet and it’s very exciting.”
A VIP viewing event on Saturday, 10 January, booked up so quickly that a second has been scheduled for Sunday, 18 January. The venue’s next wedding fair will be held on Sunday, 8 March, while the September fair will also include a fashion show.
Rianna added: “We already have 10 to 20 local businesses showcasing their services and products at our wedding fairs, and we are always open to linking up with other local suppliers who would like to get involved.”
