More than 60 ceramic artists including two contestants from The Great Pottery Throw Down have been lined up for Gladstone Pottery Museum’s fourth Ceramic Makers Market.
The event on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December will showcase a variety of work from tableware and tiles to sculpture and studio ceramics.
The museum will open its doors for free on both days, with visitors able to meet the makers and buy directly from them.
Among the familiar faces expected at the market are Bill Rolls and Elham Hessavi from the latest series of the Channel 4 show.
Councillor Sarah Hill, cabinet member for finance, anti-poverty, governance and corporate services at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, said: “The Ceramic Makers Market is one of our most popular events, and it’s great to welcome it back for another two-day event as it returns for its fourth year.
“Stoke-on-Trent’s ceramics industry made the city famous across the world and the market is an opportunity to celebrate the makers who continue that tradition today.
“With more than 60 ceramic artists exhibiting, visitors can browse and buy work directly from makers and take the opportunity to visit Gladstone for free.
“It’s also great to welcome former contestants from The Great Pottery Throw Down, giving visitors the chance to see work from ceramicists they may recognise from TV.”
The museum and market will be open from 11am to 4pm on both days.
