A chartered accountancy firm based in Stoke-on-Trent is hoping to grow its client base in West Yorkshire following its latest acquisition.
DJH Mitten Clarke will be opening a “substantial” Leeds office after acquiring Novis & Co.
The deal comes not long after an announcement of securing funding with an investor called Tenzing, which Chief Executive Officer Scott Heath said at the time would allow further investment into the team and accelerate the transformation of the business.
Regarding the latest news, he said: “Following the launch of our specialist R&D office in Sheffield, it’s fantastic to enhance our presence within Yorkshire even further with a substantial office in Leeds.
“Our conversations with the team at Novis & Co opened up a new opportunity which was right for our business and a natural next step on our journey.”
Morley will remain the home of the Novis & Co team, however, within the coming months, it will take on the DJH Mitten Clarke name, becoming the Leeds office for the Group.
Novis & Co’s Claire Howarth, Managing Director, added: “After many successful years providing support and business advice for our clients, it was evident that for us to continue to develop and grow our business we needed to look for a partner to strengthen our infrastructure.
“DJH Mitten Clarke brings with it a number of specialist services, such as capital allowances, R&D, corporate finance and commercial & residential funding, along with group services such as marketing, learning and development and recruitment. Ultimately, all of this will enhance the advice and support that we offer to our clients.”
Claire will continue to lead the team at the Leeds office, alongside fellow Director Stephen Tucker.
DJH Mitten Clarke’s head office is based on Festival Way in Etruria.
