The founder and CEO of business consultancy Strategi Solutions has been recognised for her work supporting and empowering women by the National Business Women’s Awards 2023.
Wendy Dean, who is also a women’s mentor, was presented with the Gold Lifetime Achievement Award during a ceremony in London last week.
She said: “I am deeply honoured and humbled to be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
“Throughout my career, empowering women and fostering their growth has always been a huge passion of mine and I am incredibly delighted to have received this recognition.”
Wendy started her career as a receptionist and has been working in male-dominated industries for more than three decades, during which time she has become a formidable force in the business world.
Wendy has been a pioneer in promoting gender equality and has established and supported various charities and foundations, primarily focused on education and empowering women in business.
One of her recent achievements is the successful curation and leadership of personal development retreat for women, Why Women Don’t Play Golf.
Wendy added: “By providing equal opportunities, resources and support, we can help women overcome the obstacles they face in both the professional world and their personal lives.
“When women are empowered to succeed, we unlock a wealth of talent, innovation and diverse perspectives that drive progress everywhere.
“It is our responsibility as successful businesswomen to ensure other women have access to mentorship, education and networks that will help them develop and flourish in their respective fields.
“This award is a testament to women supporting women, and I would like to thank all of the women who have made my career thoroughly rewarding.”
Rob Fisher, Managing Director of the Newcastle-under-Lyme-based business, added: “Wendy’s honour at the National Business Women’s Awards is well-deserved recognition of her tenacity, passion and commitment to empowering women in business which, is truly awe-inspiring.”
