Leading composite door manufacturer Comp Door has invested £500,000 in advanced technology.
With business already booming, the Newcastle-under-Lyme-based company is on a high-tech drive to promote further growth.
The latest boost to its manufacturing process is a Four-Headed Quad Welder supplied by Avantek.
The new machine drives fast and accurate inline welds elevating the perfection and finish of the welded corners to further improve product quality.
The highly flexible welder will also speed up the manufacturing process enabling Comp Door to expand capacity, with the company now on course to increase production to 150 doors a day.
Operational efficiency has been boosted by the arrival of a Haffner SBA 4 Machining Centre, two additional delivery vans, a Vacuum Former, two CNCs, a new wrapping machine, a new CNC Corner Cleaner and a new Edgebander.
Richard Diliberto, Director at Comp Door, said: “We have seen a large upturn in demand for our products, and this recent investment of innovative technologies and automated machinery will allow us to further improve our production efficiencies in line with customer demand and lead times.
“We firmly believe in actively listening to our customers and evolving our products to match, but most often exceed those expectations!”
Pierre Mifsud, Managing Director of Comp Door, said: “We are serious about our vision to be the market leading composite door manufacturer, and this is our dedication to that mission.”
