North Staffordshire’s newest and much-anticipated Italian restaurant is preparing to open its doors.
In April, Daily Focus was the first to reveal that the owners of the popular Anasma Greek Eatery and Anasma Greek Bakery were opening a third venue, this time serving Italian food.
The finishing touches have now been put to Anasma Italian Cuisine and it will begin welcoming customers from 9am on Monday, 3 June.
Diners will be able to visit breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the new restaurant in the shopping village at The Trentham Estate, in Stoke-on-Trent. And they have been promised the same high standards that guests currently experience at the two other venues.
A soft opening launch on Friday night was a great success with special guests enjoying the likes of brushetta alla Romana, polpette, various pizzas, and pasta dishes including penne al’ arrabbiata, spaghetti bolognese and tagliatelle speck e spinach.
Owner Mariana Anastasiou told Daily Focus: “We are finally almost ready to open. It is very exciting.
“We are very focussed on providing good quality, freshly cooked food and great service in a relaxing environment just like in our two other venues.
“One of our chefs is Italian, the other has 25 years’ experience in Italian restaurants so they know how to make good food.
“We have pasta, homemade pizza and meat dishes on the menu, as well as risotto, arancini and all the other good stuff Italian cuisine has.”
The new restaurant has created around 10 jobs and seats 60 people inside and 36 outside.
It has taken up the unit vacated by Spanish tapas restaurant Can Do Cocina, which closed in November.
The two other Anasma venues will continue to trade as normal.
Anasma Italian Cuisine will be open from 9am until 9pm Monday to Saturday and 9am until 5pm on Sundays.
