Employees struggling with rising energy costs can now access expert advice at work, thanks to a partnership between Staffordshire-based Residential Energy Services (RES) and Energy For Tomorrow.
Based at Keele University’s Smart Innovation Hub, RES has launched fully funded workplace energy advice workshops across the country, providing essential guidance on energy-saving measures to those who need it most.
RES, who has provided energy subsidy awareness and advisory services to more than 20,000 households in the UK since 2014, identified a gap in access to vital energy information, especially among low-income workers and those with non-traditional hours. This new initiative aims to bridge that divide by bringing expert-led, in-person sessions directly into workplaces, ensuring employees receive tailored energy-saving guidance.
RES Director Sarah Parry said: “Our goal is to educate employees on available funding streams and how they can make their homes warmer and healthier. This vital funding from Energy For Tomorrow means we can reach individuals who may not otherwise have access to crucial support. With countless families grappling with fuel poverty, we want to ensure that everyone has the tools and resources they need to lower their bills and improve their living conditions.”
The workshops, now available nationwide, are designed to support employees in a variety of industries, particularly those earning a living wage or working shift-based jobs. Each session will combine educational presentations with one-on-one consultations, allowing participants to drop in for personalised advice on their energy concerns at their convenience.
RES remains committed to tackling fuel poverty and promoting sustainability by offering accessible energy advice and support programs. Through this initiative, the organisation aims to enhance community well-being and empower individuals to take control of their energy use.
