Marston’s is pumping £432,000 into upgrading one of its pubs in Stoke-on-Trent including the addition of a new sports bar.

The Horn and Trumpet, in Norton, closed on Monday and is due to reopen with a new look on Saturday, 3 May.

Upon reopening, the pub on Norton Retail Park will feature two distinct areas divided by a central partition: a lively locals’ bar and a cosy, family-friendly lounge.

It will also boast 4K big screens showcasing Sky Sports and TNT.

A variety of events are planned, including smart karaoke with full online song lists and requests, smart quizzes with cash games afterward, cash bingo nights, live music every week and regular family activities.

General Manager Dan Maddox said: “We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back after the refurbishment, and especially excited about our new sports bar – as we’re already a popular place for locals to come and watch live sports, we’re excited to see how the developments further enhance our offering.”
