A popular North Staffordshire restaurant which is closed while it undergoes a £300,000 refurbishment hopes to come back with a bang – with live music and singers being brought in for the first time.
The Orange Tree in Newcastle-under-Lyme closed on Sunday for work which will see the venue reimagined with ‘a fresh, contemporary aesthetic while retaining the warm atmosphere guests know and love’.
Updates to the interior will cover furnishing, floorings, lighting, artwork, and the restaurants overall colour palate. Meanwhile, the kitchen will also see a significant upgrade.
The restaurant and bar, part of the Parogon Group, will reopen with a VIP night on Friday, 23 May with the official opening on Saturday, 24 May.
After its refresh, it will host live DJs and singers from 7.30pm to 11.30pm every Friday.

Its recently-launched grill menu focuses on premium steak dishes ‘designed to impress’ with dishes including an array of 30-day dry-aged Grass Fed Select Breed and Black Angus cuts.
The menu has also been updated to include a selection of large cuts such as the Boston Rib Steak and Tomahawk Steak, available in a selection of weights purchased from a local butcher daily.
Managing Director Rich Colclough said: “We’re so excited to give The Orange Tree Newcastle the refresh it deserves.
“This refurbishment is about continuing to provide an elevated experience for our guests, from stunning interiors to menus menu built around exceptional local meat and produce. We can’t wait to share our new look with both new and familiar faces once we re-open!”
The Orange Tree, on Newcastle Road, opened in 2013 and has a sister venue in Congleton which opened in 2023.
